UCF women's basketball defeats ECU in overtime

The UCF women’s basketball team traveled to North Carolina and defeated the ECU Pirates in overtime by a score of 61-58 on Wednesday evening.

With the win, the Knights improve their American Athletic Conference record to 6-0 and their overall record to 17-2. 

Redshirt senior guard Nyala Shuler posted a double-double, her second of the season, according to the press release from UCF Athletics. She finished the game with 10 points and 12 rebounds. Senior guard Sydnee McDonald scored 10 points for the Knights as well. 

The Knights are one of two undefeated teams in the American Athletic Conference and have won seven games in a row, according to the press release. 

The Knights will travel to Connecticut to take on the No. 3 ranked UConn Huskies on Sunday at 4 p.m.
