The UCF softball team came up short against No. 1 Florida State on Sunday afternoon, falling by a score of 2-1.
The Knights and the defending national champion Seminoles played in front of an announced crowd of 1,161 at the UCF Softball Complex. It was UCF's second-largest crowd in program history, according to UCF Athletics.
The Seminoles scored their two runs in the top of the seventh inning.
