After suffering the worst loss of the season against Memphis on Jan. 27, the UCF men's basketball team will look to get revenge in a rematch on Saturday at CFE arena.
The Knights lost the previous meeting FedEx Forum in Memphis by a score of 77-57. Before that, UCF had won four straight games against Memphis.
Since that loss, the Knights have won three of their last four games in American Athletic Conference play. Their most recent victory came on Wednesday in a War on I-4 matchup against the South Florida Bulls.
Senior center Tacko Fall said after Wednesday's win that the team has to have the same mentality heading into Saturday's game against the Tigers.
“We have to go out there and just play our game,” Fall said. “You have to have the same push with guys who we play against, but we definitely need to come in, locked in and get the dub.”
The Knights are off to the program’s best 23-game start since the 2003-04 season, as they are 18-5 (8-3 AAC) on the year. They have a record of 12-2 on their home court.
Saturday's matchup between UCF and Memphis will tip off at 6 p.m.
