The Knights are down two more players as defensive back Brandon Moore and wide receiver Ja’Cyais Credle announced they are entering the transfer portal.
Moore announced on Twitter that he will be transferring to Florida State University for the 2021 college football season.
Moore will be teaming up with some familiar faces in Tallahassee, quarterback McKenzie Milton and former Memphis coach Mike Norvell, who will be going into his second season as head coach of the Seminoles.
The redshirt-senior finishes his UCF career with 77 tackles, 19 pass deflections and two interceptions in just 27 games.
Moore’s most iconic moment as a Knight came back in the 2019 Fiesta Bowl against LSU, when he picked off Joe Burrow and returned it 93 yards for a touchdown.
Moore would go on to miss the 2019 and 2020 season due to a knee injury he suffered in the 2019 season opener against FAMU. Moore tried to get back on the field, but was only able to practice with the scout team and help the younger players on the team.
Moore will not be the only player transferring, as freshman wide receiver Credle entered the transfer portal as well, according to a report from Knights247.
Credle was only at UCF for one semester, appearing in all 10 games for the Knights this season and starting just one game at wide receiver.
The three-star recruit out of Carver High School finishes his career as a Knight with eight receptions for 76 yards, according to UCF Athletics.
With Credle transferring, this leaves the Knights thin at wide receiver. Marlon Williams, Tre Nixon and Jacob Harris all announced on Twitter they will be entering the 2021 NFL Draft.

Williams only played in eight games but still led the team in receptions, yards, and touchdowns. Nixon missed six games due to an injury and Harris played in all 10 games and had eight touchdowns on the year.
With the core leaving for the NFL draft, UCF is left with just Jaylon Robinson and Ryan O’Keefe as returning starters for the 2021 season.
Robinson started all 10 games racking up 55 receptions, 979 yards, and six touchdowns, according to UCF Athletics. O’Keefe appeared in all 10 games but had just six starts. He totaled 20 catches for 391 yards and three touchdowns.
National signing day is Feb. 3, and the Knights coaching staff will have a busy spring ahead to make sure the team can bounce back to make the American Conference Championship game.
Head coach Josh Heupel has not made any comments on Moore or Credle transferring thus far. NSMToday will have an update on the Knights’ football team in the upcoming weeks.
