A man waved a gun at a pizza delivery driver near Knights Plaza early Saturday morning, the UCF Police Department said in an alert sent to students.

At about 1:20 a.m., the pizza delivery driver was followed by an older white Lexus, which police believe was occupied by three males.

The Lexus driver flashed the car's lights, and the delivery driver said a passenger in the vehicle waved a handgun at him, according to the alert. The Lexus then quickly drove off campus.

The UCFPD said it does not believe there is an imminent threat to the campus. The police department is continuing to investigate the incident, and notified the Orange and Seminole County sheriff's offices, according to the alert.

Police are asking anyone with details to contact the UCFPD at 407-823-5555 or Central Florida CrimeLine at 1-800-423-8477.
