UCF mascot Knightro celebrates beating Rocky the Bull in a game of Tug of War during a timeout as the Knights take on the USF Bulls at Spectrum Stadium on Nov. 29. The Knights went on to defeat the Bulls 34-7.

10. UCF switches shuttle companies, saves $23 million

UCF shuttles will be changing transportation companies from Transdev to Groome Transportation in July 2020, which will save the university over $23 million dollars while increasing the number of shuttles.

Kelton Jordan "JJ" Johnson, UCF football center and senior human communications major from Jacksonville, Fla., said he has been eating meat for most of his life until he became a vegetarian, and then went vegan at the beginning of the year as part of his New Year's resolution.

6. Pi Kappa Phi members threatened at gunpoint in front of fraternity house

Two brothers of UCF's Pi Kappa Phi fraternity were attacked, robbed and had a gun pulled on them by five men in front of their fraternity house on Oct. 15, a police report stated.

4. UCF medical students no longer welcomed at AdventHealth and Orlando Health

Orlando Health and AdventHealth are no longer allowing UCF medical students to complete their core third year clinical clerkships at their facilities. The decision comes as a result of the UCF College of Medicine partnering with HCA Healthcare in order to build the Lake Nona Medical Center instead of partnering with one of the Central Florida hospital giants.

3. Student queue introduced to UCF football game day timeline

There is a new addition to the UCF football game day timeline: the student queue. Students can now start lining up on the north side of Spectrum Stadium, near the student gates, three hours prior to kickoff.

2. Knight Lights football future in question after beta test, UCF Athletics says

Knight Lights, a feature on the UCF Gameday app, syncs fans’ phones to music cues and was introduced at the beginning of the 2019-2020 basketball season. It was beta tested at the War on I-4 rivalry game on Friday.

1. UCF shuttle catches fire, passengers and driver safe

A UCF shuttle that was headed back from the the Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences caught fire after coming off the East-West Expressway Wednesday. The driver claims he felt a sort of explosion when stepping on the breaks after getting off the highway.
